FAQ DWW Web Club

Q: Where are the archives or back issues?

A: As described in the membership sign-up, this web site is an online magazine. Just like print magazines don't show items from the previous issue, neither does DWW. However, this does not mean past items are not available.

Q: But why doesn't DWW maintain its own back issue archive?

A: DWW offers an archive of most clips ever displayed in its online magazine. Just check for our clip archive. A great advanced search function will support you in finding the clips you like to see. Of course, the download of clips from the clip archive is not free though the price for it is marginal. Clips of current magazines are of course all free for members of a current web club issue.

Q: I can not view the video files by clicking on the links. How can I see them?

A: Certain configurations do have problems in getting the video players to play the clips while on line. The best work around is to save the clip to your hard drive and then playing it by double clicking on the file. You save the file by right clicking on the large rotating floppy disk icon and then selecting the 'Save Target' or 'Save Link' option. Note the name of the file so that you can select it on your hard drive later.

Q: OK, I did that. But now I can not find the file that was saved. What now?

A: It may have been deleted by your browser. Save the file again as above, but make sure it is not being saved in a sub directory of 'Temporary Internet Files'. I suggest you create a directory called 'DWW-DL' and save files there.

Q: How come people ignore me in the Chat room?

A: They are not ignoring you, they just are not there even though they are listed under Occupants. This happens for a couple of reasons: user did not log off but hit the back button or the user's browser crashed.

Q: Who is this 'GR' mentioned so often in the Chat room? Why do some members talk to 'GR' even though there is no 'GR' logged on?

A: 'GR' or 'gr' or 'G.R.' all refer to the owner of DWW. GR will go through the log of the Chat room occasionally. Since members are aware of this, sometimes a member will do the equivalent of jumping up and down and waving their arms to get GR's attention about a certain subject.

Q: What happened to the Q&A sections in the Database?

A: The Q&A has been replaced by the monthly interviews that show in the Fans Section. Not everyone month will have an interview but most will.

Q: When is the Database going to get updated with the new wrestlers?

A: The Database gets the roster updated several times a year, independent of when new wrestlers arrive at DWW.

Q: How come I can not vote for my favorite wrestler in the monthly poll?

A: The eligible candidates are generally only those that have actively participated at a DWW event with the past 18 months.

Q: The Fight of the Month for the current issue is a mixed match, which I hate. Can't you show something else?

A: You may always chose and use your 4 credits for ANY of the previous Fight of the Month offers. And even then when you don't like those (way more than 100 available) then you may use your Fight of the Month credits for a download from DWW MOVIES or from our clips archive worth 4 credits.

Q: There is a certain match I really want to see happen. How can I request it?

A: You can post your request on the Bulletin Board, where you will be promptly told it requires sponsoring. You may want to do so anyway to see if anyone else shares your interest and if there is enough interest expressed by others, DWW might do it without an explicit sponsorship.

Q: I'm having a technical problem not mentioned in this FAQ. Now what can I do?

A: One of the forums in the Bulletin Board is called 'Technical problems'. Post a message describing your problem and also which browser you are using, which version of the browser, operating system and version number (i.e.: Windows 98SE, MAC OS9). This is your best chance of getting an answer quickly from either DWW or other members.
