This match series is made for the fans of (so far) open-ended stories, just the opposite to the Denise/Edita/Gloria round robin from November 2007: Movies-250, 251, 252, where you will find even spoilers for those highly recommended matches. Edita never lost a competitive mat wrestling match at DWW in her weight (means the opponent wasn't at least 3 kg/7 lbs heavier), the only international winner was Nadege in a very long and close match (FoM-246). Antscha is a wrestling champion too, she won the HWW Xmas tournament (final round: DWW-437) and did not lose to Nadege after the comeback of that girl from Belgium (other productions section: AH-102a). The Antscha/Edita match from June 2007 (DWW-440) was as close as expected. For the Antscha/Gloria match from the same meeting you will find some reviews and spoilers (DWW-440), both really had their chance to win. Just as in that special case of the Antscha/Edita match the viewer himself must decide who won the new match Gloria vs Edita (Movies-270).
Highlights of Movies-270:
Matt's review on Movies-251 tells about their strategies and some details, so I've only to add the highlights for the viewing pleasure of fan groups: You will see two very impressive combined submission holds from Gloria's and one from Edita's side (only one of those three trials wasn't successful at the end). You will also see some of the best closely filmed scenes of Edita trying to pin Gloria who's clever in defense although being less experienced (Edita was the Czech Olympic-style champion for three consecutive years in her youth). The fitness girl fans will also like the arm wrestling after the match (Antscha was the arm wrestling champion in the middleweight section at SE 2005, but she's surprisingly challenged now). The catfight fans should notice the scene when Edita is upset about one painful submission hold. Both girls are showing friendly respect, but there's a visible rivalry upcoming because Edita wants to defend her all-time record and Gloria would like to be a new superstar in that middleweight category of not more than 60kg/132lbs (like the 'old' Eva who never won a fight on mat vs. Edita but an apartment wrestling match and a catfight on grass: DWW-402+404).
Continuing the story:
I don't remember such an unpredictable round robin in DWW history. Close matchups happened sometimes for the benefit of the competitive wrestling genre fan group. But here nobody could seriously tell if Antscha of Edita or Gloria could be No. 1 or No. 2 or No. 3 if they would face each others again. Gloria improved quickly in 2007, she is (was) the most impressive newcomer talent without fightsports background since the days of Hana and Sabine (early 90s, even the superstars Eva and Luzia needed more time to become 'perfect' in DWWrestling).
Finally some recommendations for the best wrestling rules of possible rematches in 2008:
Antscha vs Gloria: normal p+s (just as on DWW-440)
Edita vs Gloria: submissions only best out of 5 (not stopping the match until the third winning fall for one girl)
Antscha vs Edita: pins only, but since both are too good in defense against submission holds and 'perfect' pins (with arms on the mat etc.), every long hold on the girl with her back on the mat (but without having a guard position) should be counted as one fall (to avoid 'endless' groundfighting without results).
